My new class that I met for the first time on Wednesday is a teachers nightmare (I think). These are students who are returning for a graduate degree who signed up for an English class because it will be easy and they won't have to study. But these students graduated from 3 to 23 years ago and have not spoken English since then. I have very bright people in my class; neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, ophthamologists, general surgeons, and internal medicine specialists. But they can't speak English and they really can't understand what I say and I'm supposed to keep them busy for 2 hours once a week and I really don't know what I'm doing. So I'll see what I can come up with. I do know that engaging people on a deeper level of conversation will help them learn language faster so I will try to figure out how to do that.
Linda took picures of my first haircut in China yesterday. She will publish and comment. It's cheap and it'll grow back.
His haircut isn't bad, just not like he would normally do it. He actually has some hair left on top! I like it. Sorry I didn't get the top to show you that.
