Yesterday Linda went to Ancient Culture Street with our friend Priscilla. I went by bike with Bob but first we went to get another of the tasty food of Tianjin the dofu Twist. These are crisp twists made of sesame and bean curd (tofu) that are famous in Tianjin as a snack. When we were there they were loading up boxes and boxes of them into a van to take somewhere. I haven't tasted it yet so I can't comment on the taste. The ride was fun though. Then we rode over to Ancient Cultrue street and hooked up with Linda and Priscilla. We spent some time looking around. Bob got it in his head that I was looking for a picture so we went in several shops. He was able to get us into an upstairs area where a painter was working. It was interesting to watch him paint. He was painting peonies, red peonies. His technique was to use one brush with red paint on the whole bristle and then he would dip the tip in black ink and paint the flowers. It was interesting to watch his technique. He never got the black where he didn't want it. After spending some time there we rode home. I figured I rode for at least 2 hours yesterday. Covered a lot of ground and went several places I hadn't gone before and several places I had.
