Linda dictates, James writes.
Thanks you all for your prayers and thoughts and emails. You don't know how much they have meant to me. We have a "family" here, too which we are very greatful for but it isn't the same as here. I can feel the prayers surrounding me with warmth and love and protecting me from dwelling too much on the accident and the future. I'm trying to take it one day at a time and it's working. The pain really isn't that bad. I believe it is because of the prayers and healing touch. So please keep them coming. Again, prayer request for my loving and faithful husband, who is going above and beyond. I'm going to having to do lots of cooking when I am better!!
Went to the doctor today and got a good report, no infection, healing well per xray, return in 3 days. No splint or cast. I am still nervous about this because it is so different for what I am used to. I question its effectiveness and safety and worry about the outcome. Any comments?
James feels that I should follow the doctor's instructions and quit worrying. He is very friendly and appears confident and puts up with all my questions graciously.
My teaching career is on hold for another week at least. I have started thinking about it a little bit but I need to start revising my plan since putting power points together with one hand will be difficult. I'll use Wes' motto "don't over prepare".
Our lives are not going to be very exciting for a while. We won't be traveling until the wrist heals enough to last a full day without resting.
Please refer to the blog for updates because I probably won't be answering all emails seperately. Again, thanks for all your love and support and prayers.
