November 8th

Fall is here. We haven't had a freeze yet but the days are much cooler lately and the nights are chilly. We aren't having the wild swings of temperature that you can have in Missouri and Iowa. So far this year there has just been a steady progression of downward temperature. Now the nights are in the upper 30s and days in the 50s to low 60s. It really isn't bad. Riding our bikes is a bit cool especially on cloudy days like yesterday but once we are riding for a while we warm up and then it really doesn't feel bad. One interesting thing is that there are still roses blooming on campus and flowers blooming in several parks around the city that we have ridden past.

Friday morning I took a ride up to the Italian Concession here in Tianjin. It has the largest collection of Italian architecture in the world - outside of Italy, that is. That's really all I know. I have a few pictures. Seen above.
