THE apartment

The longview of our living/dining area, me at the computor. The kitchen and our bedroom are to the left and the bathroom and spare bedroom are to the right. The two above show the living room from the other direction looking out the other sunporch which we will also use for more living space and to hang plants after it is cleaned and maybe even painted a little. We hear the paint smells bad here so will wait until we can open the windows. Note the "paper cuts" on the window. These are a way of decorating for the Spring Festival.

The picture with the desk without a chair is in our spare room. It's a real spare room for now. Next to it is another view of the spare room or office facing the window (south). There is a small wardrobe for our coats next to the door. This is also where we string our clothes line. The last picture is of James and I in a funny pose per request of Monkey holding chinese characters. We then taped them on our sliding door to celebrate the Spring festival.

We purchased our webcam and headset today for Skype so are looking forward to seeing those who have the camera in person soon as you will be able to see us.

Today was spent shopping at the cyber market which is an area of town with 2 large 2 story stores full of electronic stuff. Each area has it's own cashier and prices so you can go around and compare prices in each store and each area. You are able to bargain with them to lower the prices.

James will add more tonight and tell you about our captivity in our apartment.
