These last two images are a juxtapostition of the extremes we see in Tianjin. The old and the new coexist together remarkably. There are thousands of cars and thousands of bikes on the street and the move together almost like a flowing river at times. There is lots of horn honking and bicycle swerving and people think nothing of getting mere inches away from a car, bus or bike but we have seen no accidents here. It is scary to watch and I think I'd die of a heart attack if I tried riding a bike in this city but it works for them. In the same way there are ultra modern stores and all kinds of street vendors that sell almost anything.

So this first post you're reading should be the last of three. I'm blog challenged so you all have to deal with it. I hope I learn to manage my posts better as time goes on.
