Day trip gone awry

We went for a walk to a bookstore today using a map that Monkey emailed me. It was really cold and I got the drops if you know what I mean. We walked and walked and couldn't find the store so went into a hotel to warm up and the guys at the door seemed to know some English so we asked them if there was a bookstore close by. They laughed and giggled and had us write it down and showed 2 girls at the desk but no one seemed to know what we were talking about. Then an older man came up and said "Book store?" So we figured he would point us in the right direction. Instead he directed us to his cab and we assumed he would take us there. So, we are driving about 10 min farther away and Xue, our teacer laison called (thank God) to tell us about a letter Tom had sent. It only took a week to get a letter, about as long as it takes to get one in Missoula! So, I asked her to talk to the guy and tell him where to take us. He turned around and went back to where we were. We had passed the book store about a long block before the hotel and didn't realize it. So, we went in and found some dictionaries but not any we wanted so then Jim had to pee so we found a resturant because by then we were also starving and ate and peed there. Yykes. I had some great vegetable pot stickers or dumplings as they call them and a seaweed type salad that were cheap, too. Jim had a noodle soup with beef that was also tasty. We then walked home and will take a nap maybe!
